Digital Nomad’s Guide to The Best Coworking Spaces in Thailand

When it comes to coworking spaces, the absolute must-haves are: a reliable and speedy Wi-Fi, shared workspaces, printing and copying facilities, and private event spaces. And there are the nice-to-haves: a lively, entrepreneurial atmosphere, vibrant events calendar (meetups, pitch nights, workshops, networking sessions, movie nights – bring ’em on!), on-site cafes, gorgeous indoor/outdoor work spaces…the list goes on.

We don’t all need a workspace with plenty of nice-to-haves, but to keep the work flow smooth and seamless, we draw the line at work spaces that don’t hit the mark when it comes to delivering on the essentials. If you’re on the same page, check out our selection of trusty coworking spaces in Thailand below:

Bangkok

Hubba

Hubba is one of the more popular coworking spaces – if not the most popular – in Bangkok. Set in a spacious building, Hubba draws a good crowd of freelancers, startups and entrepreneurs, and boasts a vibrant crowd full of smiles and positive vibes. The diversity of individuals working at this space (you’ll meet both techies and creatives) makes it an interesting place to go to for networking and learning. Hubba’s got a lively calendar teeming with intriguing events, so be sure to give it a look and mark out dates on your calendar for the days that you’ll be in town.

Spanning across five floors, the space features coworking necessities like meeting rooms, hot desks, dedicated desks, printing facilities, conference rooms and private rooms. But that’s not all – you’ll also enjoy perks you’re unlikely to find elsewhere, like the spa, restaurant, rooftop terrace and roof garden bar (for private members only). Definitely a spot that will float the boats of nomads on the search for a coworking space that has it all.

Bright, spacious and contemporary, the coworking space comes fitted with floor-to-ceiling glass walls, large desks, comfy bean bags, meeting rooms and private offices. They’ve got a series of fascinating workshops and events lined up on their calendar, so it’s worthwhile carving out time to pop by this space even if you don’t plan on working here.

Chiang Mai

Punspace

Punspace offers two coworking spaces for digital nomads in Chiang Mai. One is set in Nimman, while the other is located at Tha Phae Gate (members gain access to both work spaces). The chic-looking interiors come fitted with all the amenities that nomads will need to get on with their work smoothly, like hot seats, Sykpe rooms, meeting rooms, stable Wi-Fi, lockers and private offices. We’ve been told that Punspace draws a rather tech-centric crowd, so this might not be the ideal coworking space for nomads keen on mixing and mingling with fellow creatives.

Compact, conveniently located and quiet are words that best describe Mana. There are only eight tables here, so digital nomads on the hunt for a work spot will need to arrive early to snag a seat. It’s a worthwhile making the effort to be an early bird – particularly if you’re a creative or techie who needs absolute peace and quiet to get your work done, as Mana enforces a no-noise policy in the workspace.

It scores well on other aspects too – the staff are friendly and attentive, Skype rooms can be booked at an affordable rate, and a cosy cafe is set in a separate area at the back of the coworking space – which means that coffees and baked goodies are easily within reach when the munchies hit.
