We can’t think of a better way to start off your weekend than with a satisfying brunch feast. What makes up a “perfect” brunch differs across individuals; for some, it’s tucking into a luscious spread at a gorgeous beachfront setting, while others prefer a breakfast made up of healthy organic fare in a laidback setting.
Whichever meal floats your boat, we’re sure we’ve got it covered. Check out our foodie guide below, and happy brunching!

The Corner Restaurant
Cosy and charming, The Corner Restaurant is just right for travellers who aren’t into dining at ultra-fancy restaurants and prefer a fuss-free setting with a casual, friendly vibe. This establishment scores a win on other counts: service comes with a smile, and prices are reasonable.
Breakfast starts at 8:00am, but the items are available all day, so the restaurant’s a great bet for late weekend brunches. Choose from a diverse variety of breakfast offerings, like a good ol’ museli or pancakes, to a tangy Thai-style rice soup. Set options, complete with juice and a coffee or tea will leave diners with large appetites well satisfied.
They have recently opened a new branch in Phuket, called DDR Restaurant & Club in Boat Avenue, just 5 minutes from The Corner Restaurant. This is a much larger space that has a capacity of 280 seats, wow!

The peaceful and quiet atmosphere here makes the cafe a great choice for a slow and leisurely brunch, a morning of perusing on your favourite reads or catching up on work projects.
Browse through a menu listing a wide selection of wholesome fare. You’ll find fresh fruit juices, fruit and protein smoothies, coffees, raw energy balls, breakfast sets whipped up from organic ingredients or homemade cakes. Yummy!

And for those who like the brunches vegetarian, vegan or raw…
We Cafe
Food can’t get any fresher than this! Crisp greens are served right from a hydroponic farm beside the cafe to your table at the inviting We Café. Health-conscious diners will be delighted by the cafe’s wholesome menu, which lists a wide selection of salads, sandwiches, pasta, smoothies and fresh juices. We’ve been told that special requests for beverages not listed on the menu – like a tantalising avocado and cocoa soy shake – have been made upon request too.
And the meal doesn’t end at the table. Make a stop by the grocery section within the cafe to stock up on organic produce after brunch, so you get to whip up home-cooked meals using fresh, quality ingredients.

Atsumi Raw Cafe
Go raw and healthy at Atsumi, where raw, or “living” food – items that are cooked at a temperature below 43°C to retain its optimal nutrients – are served. But don’t form the misconception that the food will be boring and bland – the extensive menu offers a wide variety, ranging from soups and fresh salads to crispy pizzas and desserts. We like the sound of intriguing mains like the Thai coconut dumplings, where a filling of fresh veggies are wrapped up with dumpling skin made from seaweed and paired up with delightful cashew and black sesame dipping sauce.
End your brunch on a decadent note by savouring a slice of chocolate cake or cheesecake, along with a coffee made with almond milk. Mm!
